O ur service to families reaches as far back as 1932, when Jack Barr worked for his aunt and uncle at the former Clements Funeral Home in Fort Madison.

In 1958, Jack and Lila Barr (now both deceased), together with their son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Charlotte Barr (now both retired) built and established the Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison.

Today a third generation of family, Tom and Deanna (Holtkamp) Barr progressively carry on that tradition of service. Tom and Deanna have two wonderful children, Elizabeth and Joshua, who both attend Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.

In 2009, Tom and Deanna, opened the Barr-Holtkamp Funeral Home in West Point to better serve families in Deanna's home area.
