Bertha Helen Copeland, 82 years, of Fort Madison died Monday, March 6, 2023 at the OakView Nursing Home, Burlington, Iowa. She was born May 6, 1940 at Fairfield, Iowa, a daughter of Ernest Calvin "Larry" Jr. and Lida Darlene (Berry) Noon. On February 25, 1961, she married Marvin LaVerne Copeland at Fort Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death June 16, 2006.

She was a homemaker and she also worked for the Wishing Well Antique Shop. She enjoyed doing needle work and reading.

She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Copeland, of Fort Madison, Iowa; two brothers: Ernie (Billie) Noon, of Mission, Texas, Richard (Nancy) Noon, of Fort Madison, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Syble Timmerman.

Family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa, with Pastor Les Featheringill officiating. A memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.
