Beverly A. Beckert, 87 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at The Madison, Fort Madison, Iowa. She was born June 24, 1933 at Fort Madison, Iowa, a daughter of Paul P. and Louise C. (Niggemeyer) Hoenig. On September 29, 1956, she married Francis B. Beckert at Fort Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death August 26, 2007.

Beverly was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Fort Madison. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Alter and Rosary Society. She enjoyed walking and working with her flowers.

She was survived by her son, Paul J. Beckert of Fort Madison; two sisters: Darlene L. Rouse of Denmark, Iowa and Peggy A. (Mike) Bowen of Fort Madison; one brother: Roger W. (Alice) Hoenig, of Fort Madison, Iowa; nieces, a nephew and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant brother Wayne, two brothers, Gary Hoenig and Ronald P. Hoenig, and two sisters, Barbara J Russell and Patricia A Kay.

Friends may join the family for visitation from 9:30 - 10:30 am Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, Fort Madison. Mass of Christian Burial will follow and begin at 10:30 am Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, with Rev. Joseph Phung as Celebrant. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa. A memorial has been established for Holy Family Parish, contributions may be made at Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison or at the church the day of the service. Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Beckert Family.
