Carter Stephen Adams was stillborn at 10:12 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa. He is the son of Kevin and Kristy (Steffensmeier) Adams.

He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Kristy Adams, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one brother, Brady Adams; maternal grandparents, Timothy and Jan Steffensmeier, of West Point, Iowa; paternal grandparents, John and Pamela Adams, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; maternal great grandparents: Martha Steffensmeier, West Point, Iowa and Gene and Alvera Merschman, of St. Paul, Iowa; paternal great grandmothers, Olive Weitzell, of Tama, Iowa and Shirley Adams, of Tama, Iowa; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Adrian Stephen Steffensmeier Sr., Thomas Adams, and Keith Weitzell.
