Cathy Lynn Wellman, 57 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 6:16 am Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Keokuk Area Hospital, Keokuk, Iowa. She was born August 28, 1956, at Fort Madison, Iowa a daughter of Harvey and Erma (Grosekemper) Ireland.

She was a 1976 graduate of Fort Madison High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Adam (wife Christy) Wellman, of Ames, Iowa; two daughters, Lisa (husband Nathan) Aarhus, of Coralville, Iowa and Amanda (husband Jesse) Gregory, of West Point, Iowa; three brothers: David (wife Barb) Slee, of Texas; Allen Slee, of Fort Madison, Iowa; and Craig (wife Lisa) Ireland, of Iowa City, Iowa; one sister, Amy (husband Gary) Coffey, of Wever, Iowa; and six grandchildren: Colin, Kylie, Eva, Luke, Lillian, and Boden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Erma Ireland, and one brother, Steve Ireland.

Her body has been cremated. Her family will greet friends from 10:30 - 11:30 am Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa. Private family burial will be at Claypoole Cemetery, Wever, Iowa. A memorial has been established, and contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa.
