Obituary

Cynthia Lynn Browning, 61 years of Montrose, Iowa died Monday May 3, 2021 at her home. She went to her heavenly home to be with Jesus. There she now has a new life, and a new body. She was born December 4, 1959 at Beech Grove, Indiana, a daughter of David Burmeister Sr. and Judith (Hendrickson) Burmeister. She married Bobby Ray Browning. He proceeded her in death.

She earned her Associate Degree from Southeastern Community College. She worked as a security officer for PerMar at Keokuk Steel Castings and was a caregiver for Always Home. Cynthia and her family grew a large garden, selling at Farmer's Markets in the area. She had a love for animals, taking in strays or animals that other people didn't want. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was a seamstress. She could make just about anything including making clothing for her children out of her own clothes. Life for Cindy was too short, and she will be missed by her family and friends.

Cynthia is survived by her mother Judith Burmeister Doan of Greenwood, Indiana, her father David (Sharon) Burmeister Sr of Beech Grove, Indiana; four children: Christina Scott of Iowa; Kevin "Brandon" (Danielle) Moore of Oregon, John (Katelyn) Browning and Luke Browning, all of Montrose; two step-children, Bobby (Celenia) Browning of Olds, Iowa and Angela Browning of Hillsboro, Iowa; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She grew up in Greenwood, Indiana with her siblings: Becky (Curtis) Haywood of Rockville, Indiana; David (Linda) Burmeister of New Whiteland, Indiana; Janet (Scott) Maley of Columbus, Indiana; Lori (Matt) Mathison and Suzanne (Darrel) Sellers, both of Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Melvin Doan, and husband.
