Dale H. Lane, 78 years, of Argyle, Iowa died at 11:50 am Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Donnellson Health Center, Donnellson, Iowa. He was born September 20, 1934 in Iowa, the son of Harold B. and Mildred Mae (Thomas) Lane. On February 7, 1994, he married Linda Basham. She survives.

He lived most of his life in the area. He was a truck driver. He also owned Hubcap City, a shop in Keokuk, Iowa for a period of time. He enjoyed auctions, flea markets, and telling jokes.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Basham-Lane, of Argyle, Iowa; one daughter, Daleen Ogilbee, of Lakewood, Washington; one son; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.

His body has been cremated. Private family services will be held at a later time. A memorial has been established, contributions may be left at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
