Obituary

David Lee Mosher, 66 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 7:00 am Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his home. He was born December 30, 1950 in Fort Madison, a son of Virgil L. and Marietta (Perry) Mosher. On June 28, 1970 in Fort Madison, he married Billie Jo Snyder.

David was a 1969 graduate of Fort Madison High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during Vietnam. He worked as an industrial mechanic at Fruehauf, First Miss, Amax, and finally Scotts, retiring September 2017. He and Billie owned and operated The Photo Lab for 17 years and Sears for 23 years. He was a member and an Elder of Union Presbyterian Church. He was a third degree black belt and an instructor of Tang-Soo-Do Karate. He was a pilot and loved to fly. He enjoyed boating and being on the river, and woodworking. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Cub fan. His life was full of adventure, but most important was his family!

He is survived by his wife, Billie Mosher of Fort Madison; two daughters, Michelle (Robert) Dunn and Trisha (Ken) Curtiss, both of Fort Madison; one son, Joshua Mosher of Fort Madison; one sister, Sandra Volzka of Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren: Robert Lee, Dakotah, Christian, Kolton, Aaron, Kalifa, Skylar, Shayla, Kaden, Megan, Aurora, and Madison; three great grandchildren: Sophia, Addison, and Lane; one great grand baby Dunn on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eldon.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 pm Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Nancy Love officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Soldiers Circle, Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established, contributions may be left at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
