David Glenn Neff, 55 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 8:01 pm Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at his home. He was born February 11, 1958 at Kirksville, Missouri, a son of Harvey Glenn and Mary (Peterson) Neff. On November 21, 1977, he married Kathy Campbell at Fort Madison, Iowa.
David was a 1976 graduate of Fort Madison High School. He earned his AA Degree from SCC in auto mechanics. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving 17 ½ years from 1981 - 1998. He was a Mason while living in Louisiana, and was of the Presbyterian faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, and gardening. He also liked working on cars and enjoyed car shows.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Neff, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one son, David Glenn Neff II, of Burlington, Iowa; two daughters, Jessica (husband Roger) McPherson, of Fort Madison, Iowa and Nicole Neff, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one step daughter, Rebbecca (husband Kevin) McDonald, of Amarillo, Texas; three brothers: Kenneth (wife Martha Kay) Neff, of Alta Loma, California; Robert (wife Susan) Neff, of Kansas City, Missouri; and Ivan Neff, of Hayward, California; three sisters: Christine (husband David) Emert, of Benbrook, Texas; Helen Luba, of Brentwood, California; and Cheryll (husband John) Emmett, of Fort Madison, Iowa; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Samuel Neff; and one sister, Carroll Neff.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa. Funeral services will follow and be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Mark Binder officiating. Burial will be at Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, Iowa with full military rites. A memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa.
