David Robert Smith, 57 years, of Fort Madison passed away at his home. He was born February 21, 1954 at Fort Madison, a son of Eugene F. and Darlene (Bishop) Smith. He married Sharon Long, they later divorced. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Madison. He is survived by one brother, Larry Smith, of Fort Madison, his former wife Sharon, and step children. Per his wishes, the body of David Smith will be cremated. The family plans no formal services at this time. Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison is handling the cremation and is in charge of arrangements.
