Edgar Frank Liddle, 91 years, of Wever, Iowa died at 4:50 am December 2, 2015 at The Madison, Fort Madison, Iowa. He was born March 29, 1924 at Wever, Iowa, a son of Harry and Selma (Gibbs) Liddle. On October 26, 1947, he married Helen Ann Miller at Marcus, Iowa.
He graduated from Fort Madison High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II, in the European Theater. For fifty years, he worked in the family produce business in Wever, Iowa. He was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church, Fort Madison.
He is survived by his wife Helen, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one son, Greg (wife Dee) Liddle, of Wever, Iowa; one granddaughter, Tammy (Freeman) Brown and two great granddaughters: Kaitlin and Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Per his wishes, his body has been cremated. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday December 5, 2015 at the Union Presbyterian Church, Fort Madison, with Reverend Nancy Love officiating. Private family burial will be held at the Soldiers Circle, Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa. A memorial has been established for the Wever Fire Department and the Union Presbyterian Church, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison or at the church during the services.
