Ernest Paul "Sonny" Krogmeier, 86 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa.  He was born May 26, 1938 in Iowa, the son of Peter Anthony and Gladys Katherine (Thomas) Krogmeier.

He retired as a general foreman for BNSF.

Although we will miss him in every way, we each have our special relationships with him.  From his daughter Pam, she will miss her dad and hero.  From his grandchildren: Mike will miss his understanding and acceptance and will always be proud to be his grandson.  Diana says he always made her feel like family and loved that about him.  Roni will miss his humor and calling him with jokes to share.  She will always be grateful of his lessons and love.  Jose will miss visiting and learning from him.  He was a strong, kind and loving man that always protected his family.
