Esther Guzman, 80 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 3:45 pm Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa. Esther was born December 23, 1931 at Fort Madison, Iowa, a daughter of Pedro Sr. and Rosenda (Delgada) Ortiz. On October 7, 1948 at Keokuk, Iowa she married Claro Guzman. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1989.

Mrs. Guzman was a homemaker. She enjoyed her flower gardens and doing yard work. She loved her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Nicholas Guzman, of Fort Madison, Iowa and Aarin Guzman, of Fort Madison, Iowa; three daughters: Tina (Bob) Krieger, of Fort Madison, Iowa, Mercedes "Shod" (Rob) White, of San Antonio, Texas; and Valerie Guzman (Rick Parker), of Fort Madison, Iowa; fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and three sisters.

Private family services were held.
