Evelyn Eleanor Estrada, 76 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died peacefully at home with her family at her side at 9:20 pm Monday, July 29, 2013. She was born January 12, 1937 at Kahoka, Missouri, a daughter of William and Lillian (Stewart) Meyers. On February 4, 1956 at Fort Madison, Iowa she married Antonio Valdivia Estrada Sr. He survives.
She worked at several places throughout the years including; the Fort Madison Community Hospital, Community Action Center, Sheaffer Pen Company, IAAP, and was a carrier for the Burlington Hawkeye for 13 years. She was a member of the Harvest Bible Church. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, gardening, canning, and shopping for her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio Estrada, of Fort Madison, Iowa; four sons: Gary Estrada (friend Linda), of Webster City, Iowa; Antonio (wife Lisa) Estrada Jr, Fulton, Missouri; Richard Estrada, of Fort Madison, Iowa; and Douglas Estrada, of Fort Madison, Iowa; two daughters, Rosita "Rosie" (husband Kenny) Eid, of Wever, Iowa and Sharon "Diane" (husband Richard) Bollin, of Donnellson, Iowa; three sisters: Nancy Gibbs, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Kathy Wogstad, of May City, Iowa; Becky Hale, of Kentucky, and other brothers and sisters; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Kimberly Estrada, grandson Raymond Eid, and granddaughter Noelle Boss.
Her family will meet friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Harvest Bible Fellowship, with Reverend Jon Heyland officiating. A memorial has been established, and contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa or at the church on the day of the service.
