Frank S. Myers, 103 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 1:17 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at his home. Frank was born November 20, 1908 at Fort Madison, Iowa, a son of John and Cora (Corn) Myers.

On July 2, 1934 at Fort Madison, he married Meriam E. Turner. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2004. He worked as a supervisor for the Service Department at the Sheaffer Pen Company retiring in 1970 after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Fort Madison United Methodist Church. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing golf and traveling, spending many winters in Florida.

He is survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister Irene Arnold.

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, where his family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Brenda Goodall, officiating. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established for the Fort Madison United Methodist Church; contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
