Gina Louise Blindt, 61, Fort Madison, Iowa died at 5:30 pm Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa. She was born March 25, 1961, a daughter of Arthur and Ellen (Carroll) Pilon. On June 30, 1984, she married Anthony Joseph Blindt.
For years, Gina worked as an LPN at the Fort Madison Community Hospital. She lived in the moment! She enjoyed garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, antique malls, DIY projects, plants, rock hunting, cooking, baking, reading and visiting the library. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Family Life
Family life has it's downs and ups
Like going from bottles to sipper cups.
Diapers, laundry, dishes and dust,
All of those little things add up.
Other family and friends become second best,
Because that's when we need our rest.
Tend the garden, mow the lawn,
My God, this morning they were up before dawn.
Runny noses, colds, fever, CHICKEN POX?
Sometimes my head feels like a rock.
But then there's love, laughter and smiles
For this alone I'd walk many miles.
Family life has it's downs and ups.
I think I'll bronze the sippee cups!
