Guadalupe C. "Lupe" Gonzalez, 66 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died March 12, 2012 at the Henry County Health Center, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He was born March 4, 1946 at Topeka, Kansas, a son of Jesus Gonzalez and Rosa (Avalos) Segovia. Lupe lived most of his in Fort Madison. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he trained K9 military dogs during the Vietnam War. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the American Legion, Fort Madison. He enjoyed racing stockcars, rebuilding engines, riding his motorcycle, and putting together model airplanes.
He is survived by his daughter, Rosie Camberlain (fiancé Jim Rix), of Lake Villa, Illinois; three brothers: Patrick (Uta) Segovia, of Clarksville, TN; Joseph (Clara) Segovia, of Texas; and Gilbert (Maria) Segovia, of California; a sister-in-law, Naomi Segovia, of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Pedro Segovia, Raymond Segovia, and Moses Segovia; and one sister, Theresa Torres.
Per his wishes, his body has been cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date.
