Rev. Harold Davis, Jr., 81 years, of Des Moines, Iowa and formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa died Saturday, December 7, 2013 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born October 12, 1932, a son of Harold, Sr. and Clara K. Jackson Davis. On April 22, 1956 at Davenport, Iowa, he married Margaret Louise Newman. She preceded him in death on June 4, 2003. He later married Valerie Dawson. She preceded him in death.

Rev. Davis was Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Fort Madison, Iowa for 35 years. He moved to Des Moines six years ago, where he was pastor of King of Kings Missionary Baptist Church for three years and Interim Pastor at Corinthian Baptist Church for 1 year.

He is survived by three daughters: Anitra L. Davis, Kimberly-Ann Dumas, and Melodie Lynn Davis; two sons, Harold Davis III and John Jeffery Davis; twelve grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene Ray and Juanita Barber; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, one son Brian Keith Davis, Sr. and one brother Fred Davis.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 pm Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Second Baptist Church, 3121 Ave N, Fort Madison, Iowa. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa.
