Helen Ann Liddle, 91 years, of Wever, Iowa died at 1:15 am Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Kensington, Fort Madison, Iowa. She was born December 30, 1927 in Cherokee County, Iowa, a daughter of Luther and Celia (Holmes) Miller. On October 26, 1947, she married Edgar Frank Liddle in Marcus, Iowa.

After graduating from Marcus High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City and later a Master of Science Degree from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois. She taught for 36 years in the Burlington Community School District. She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church, Fort Madison. She was a member of P.E.O., Chapter BS.

She is survived by her son, Greg (Dee) Liddle, of Wever, one granddaughter, Tammy (Freeman) Brown and two great granddaughters: Kaitlin and Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Union Presbyterian Church, Fort Madison, with Reverend Nancy Love officiating. Her friends are invited to greet the family and join them for a meal at the church following the memorial service. A private family burial will be at the Soldiers Circle, Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established for the Union Presbyterian Church, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison or at the church during the services.
