Obituary

Henry Clarence Corns, 91 years, of Denmark, Iowa died at 5:35 am Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at The Madison, Fort Madison, Iowa. He was born June 7, 1922 at Bentonsport, Iowa, a son of Calvin Henry and Jennie June (Henry) Corns.

Henry was a resident of the Denmark area since 1952. He was a machine operator at Anthes Force Oilers and Gleason Corportion from 1941 through 1978. He was of the Protestant faith. He loved living on the farm!

He is survived by two brothers, Stanley Wesley Corns, Fort Madison, Iowa and Charles E. (wife Nancy) Corns, Burlington, Iowa; two sisters, Mary B. Bergmeier, Nauvoo, Illinois and Barbara Six, Nauvoo, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Shirley Danley.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 am Friday May 2, 2014 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday May 2, 2014 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Bill Willis officiating. Burial will be at Bentonsport Cemetery, Bentonsport, Iowa. A memorial has been established, and contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
