Hope Armorelle Hellige, 96 yrs, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 5:10 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Montrose Health Center, Montrose, Iowa. She was born August 5, 1920 at Fort Madison, Iowa, a daughter of James Clarence and Letha (Hendricks) McCreedy. On August 26, 1938, she married Paul Hellige. He preceded her in death.
She is 1938 graduate of the Fort Madison High School. She was a homemaker who also worked various part time jobs. She was very artistic, and enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing and gardening. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Fort Madison.
She is survived by her two daughters: Margaret "Peg" Aicher, of Montrose, Iowa and Jill (husband Ron) Miller, of Etna, California; four grandchildren: Kimberly (husband Brandon) Althide; Lindsey Aicher, Jennifer Johnson and Jim (wife Kay) Yates; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Bud McCreedy.
Per her wishes, her body has been cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
