James Allen Pierce, 56, of Montrose, Iowa passed away at home Monday, August 25, 2025.  He was born June 28, 1969 in South St. Paul, Minnesota, a son of Allen James Pierce and Betty Elaine (Bolster) Pierce Schenk.

James lived a full life with lots of adventures, especially in his younger years.  He enjoyed passing the time with his remote control cars and NASCAR races.  He always looked forward to football season to cheer on his team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He loved his motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson.  James will be most remembered for the love he gave to those around him.  He knew how to make everyone laugh!  He loved being a uncle and great uncle, always willing to share his cars and sweet treats.

He is survived by his parents, Allen Pierce and Betty Schenk, both of Montrose, Iowa; one brother, Michael (Michelle) Pierce of Syracuse, Utah; one niece Cassi (Parker) Fields of Fort Madison, Iowa; two great nieces, Isabella and Charlotte; a nephew, Odin; aunts and an uncle.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held 9:30 -10:30 am Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.  His funeral will following and begin at 10:30 am Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Poland officiating.  Burial will be at Montrose Cemetery, Montrose, Iowa.  A memorial has been established for PAWS animal shelter, contributions may be sent to the Barr Memorial Chapel.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Pierce family and an online guest book may be found at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
