Larry Joe "Kat" Hale, 61 years, of Fort Madison and formerly of Grayson, Kentucky died Wednesday April 6, 2016 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital. He was born November 8, 1954 in Ashland, Kentucky, the youngest of thirteen children to Delmar and Elizabeth (Isaacs) Hale. On August 22, 1998, he married Becky Hooten at the Spanish Manor in Olive Hill, Kentucky. She survives. He was a former employee of Smithfield Foods as well as Carter Nursing and Rehab in Grayson. He loved fishing, basketball, and liked to garden. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan. He is survived by his wife, Becky Hale, of Fort Madison; four brothers: Eddie (wife Sharon) Hale, James Hale, and Danny Hale, all of Grayson, and Gene Hale, of Indiana; three sisters: Mattie Hale and Berthie (husband Jim) Dinkens of Grayson, and Melissa (husband Bernie) Smith, of Flatwoods, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Dale, three sisters, and three brothers.
The body of Mr. Hale has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Larry's former home, 4294 Aden Road, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
