Leslie Earl Peck Jr, 72 years, of Montrose, Iowa and formerly of New London, Iowa died at 5:30 pm Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Montrose Health Center, Montrose, Iowa. He was born April 3, 1941 in Kansas, a son of Leslie Earl Sr and Ruth (Hanneman) Peck. He first married Lu Meitler, and they had three children: Kelly, Kevin, Kirk. They later divorced. He then married Judy Dunn. They divorced.

After moving to Burlington years ago, he worked at the radio station and then as a writer for The Hawkeye. He later worked as a sales agent for Cady Insurance for many years. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of the New London Christian Church.

He is survived by three children: Kelly Arora, Kevin Peck, and Kirk Peck; two step-sons, Stephen Smith and Chris Smith; six grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one step-granddaughter.

Per his wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program.
