Leslie Allen Ross Jr. was born June 5, 1975 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Leslie Allen Sr. and LouAnn (Patten) Ross. On June 5, 1997, he married Terri Ann Spring at Fort Madison, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Madison. He was a 1995 graduate of Fort Madison High School. He was employed at Tri-State Painting, St. Paul, Iowa. He enjoyed playing pool, his computer, music, the Rodeo, his animals, and frisbee golf.
At 34 years of age, he died at 6:45 pm Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident South of Denmark, Iowa. He is survived by his mother, LouAnn Ross, of Fort Madison, Iowa; his father and step-mother: Leslie Allen Sr. and Jonica Ross, of Denmark, Iowa; five children: Robin Ann, Erica Nichole, Raven Lee, Daniel, and Cody; all of Ottumwa, Iowa; 2 brothers: Brett Patten (Michael Carroll), of Fort Madison, Iowa; Brad (Kristen) Patten, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one step-sister, Jaime DuQuite-Ross, of Denmark, Iowa; his maternal grandmother, Dolores "Dee" LaGrange, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one grandson, Braden; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. His wife Terri also died from injuries sustained in the car the accident. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.
The body of Leslie Ross Jr. has been cremated. His family will greet friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Barr Memorial Chapel. A Memorial Service for Leslie and his wife, Terri Ross, will follow and be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. Reverend John Simpson will officiate. Private family burial will be held following the services. A memorial has been established for PAWS, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
