Lester Franklin Baker, 75 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa and formerly of Burlington, Iowa died at 10:37 am Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Fort Madison Health Center, Fort Madison, Iowa. Lester was born March 19, 1936 in rural Freemont, Missouri. He was the son of Albert T. and Velma Lucille (Bowles) Baker. He graduated from Bethel High School, Bethel, Missouri in 1954. He worked in the maintenance department at J.I. Case, Burlington, Iowa for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents.Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Knox City Cemetery, Knox City, Missouri with Pastor Bill Willis, officiating.
