Lois Maree Wilson Beelman, 90 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 8:00 pm Friday, June 17, 2016 at the West Point Care Center, West Point, Iowa. She was born January 21, 1926 in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Rev. Vernon S. and Effie Elizabeth (Hubbard) Wilson. She lived most of her life in Fort Madison, but did spend 12 years in Florida. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, decorating and playing the piano. She was a member of the Victory Faith Community Church.
She is survived by four sons: Bruce (Diane) Beelman, of Bismarck, North Dakota; Dan Beelman, of Brimfield, Illinois; Richard (Rose) Beelman, of Fort Madison; and Ronald Beelman, of Fort Madison; five daughters: Bonnie (Tim) Williams; Connie (Mike) Basham; Robin (Dave) Foehring; Michelle (Richard) Seager; and Sheri (John) Hawk, all of Fort Madison; one sister: Sharon Hermosillo, of Alhambra, California; 21 Grandchildren, and 14.5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, where the family will meet friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am, one hour before service time. Pastor Dan Stewart will officiate. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established, contributions may be left at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
