Martha Rachel Wrage, 64 years, of Davenport, Iowa and formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 near Wilton, Iowa from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born November 15, 1947 at Fort Madison, Iowa, a daughter of Toribio and Pabla (Sanchez) Garcia. She married Christopher Wrage, Sr. at Fort Madison, Iowa. He survives.

Martha was deaf and was a graduate of the Iowa School for the Deaf, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She worked at Sheaffer Pen for many years. She was a member of the Word of God Lutheran Church for the Deaf, in Davenport, Iowa. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and special times with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Wrage, Sr., of Davenport, Iowa; one daughter, Melissa Garcia, of Arizona; two stepsons, Christopher (wife Valerie) Wrage, Jr., of Davenport, Iowa and Ricky Moore, of Davenport, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Kathy Wrage and Cheryl Moyer-Vinkavich; one brother, John P. (wife Lupita) Garcia, of Rock Falls, Illinois; and one sister, Amelia (husband Matthew) Estrada, of Fort Madison, Iowa; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and one son, Joseph Lee Garcia.

Her family will greet friends from 5:30 - 7:00 pm Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa. A funeral service for Martha will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, Iowa, with Reverend Tim Eckert, officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa. A memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
