Mary Elizabeth Epperson, 71 yrs., of Fort Madison, Iowa died 7:39 pm Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her home. She was born October 31, 1940 at Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Stanley Vincent and Bessie Leona (Daugherty) Anders. On December 10, 1966, she married Donald G. Epperson at the Farmington Baptist Church, Farmington, Iowa.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, solving crossword puzzles, listening to sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a member of the Joy Baptist Church, Fort Madison, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Donald G. Epperson, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one daughter: Lisa (husband Mike) Roundtree, of Burlington, Iowa; one son: Howard (wife Natalie) Epperson, of Swartz Creek, Michigan; five grandchildren: Hollie and Luke Epperson; Kyle, Christian and Alexander Roundtree. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday May 5, 2012 at the Barr Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 Saturday at the Barr Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Earl Beal, officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa. A memorial has been established for the Lee County Hospice or the Joy Baptist Church, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
