Obituary

Patricia Bailey, age 82, of Lindsborg, KS and formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa, died Monday, June 3, 2024. She was born on February 25, 1942 in Manhattan, Kansas. Her parents were Joseph Grace, Harriet (Smith) Grace and Robert C. Einfeldt. On April 16, 1966, she married Gordon I. "Butch" Bailey at Fort Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2005.

Pat touched the lives of those around her by sharing her faith. She taught religious education for 20 years, ran a day care out of her home for 10 years, and worked at the Catermole Library for 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, serving for 10 years as a Eucharistic Minister, and was a member of the Mom's Pioneer Group. Pat moved to Lindsborg, KS in 2008, where she joined St. Bridget's Catholic Church. She was a member of their Altar Society. In her time in Lindsborg, Pat was a member of the Bethany Village community, living first at the Cottages then her last several years at Bethany Home. She was a prayer warrior for so many whom were blessed enough to call her family or friend.

She is survived by her one son, Christopher (Karen) Bailey, of Phoenix, Arizona; three brothers: Michael (Janice) Einfeldt, of Clayton, New Mexico; William Einfeldt, of Lindsborg, Kansas; and Mark (Patti) Einfeldt, of Enterprise, Kansas; one sister, Angela (TC) Andrewson, of Bridgeport, Kansa; three grandchildren: Brooke, Emily and Claire; four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, stepfather, husband, two brothers (Jim and Steve), and one sister (Betty).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, Fort Madison, Iowa. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Fort Madison.  A Mass of Special Intention for Pat will be given at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Lindsborg, Kansas on Monday, June 24th at 1:00 pm. Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Bailey Family
