Obituary

Pearl E. Clark, 95 years, of Lisbon, Iowa and formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 6:05 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Pearl was born April 26, 1915 at Burlington, Iowa a daughter of William T. and Pearl R. (Clark) Nutgrass. On November 3, 1934 she married Harold S Clark, at Ft. Madison, Iowa. She was a homemaker and spent most of her life in the Fort Madison area. She was also a long time employee of the Woolworth Company and Lampe Drug. She was a member of the Community Of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, Harold S. (wife Anna) Clark of Leavenworth, Kansas and James F. (wife Ann) Clark of Maryville, Missouri; two daughters, Mary R. Durante of Lisbon, Iowa and Dorothy M. (husband Loren) Harris of Lamoni, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter.

Her family will greet friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Barr Memorial Chapel. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Betty Tripp officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa. A memorial has been established for The Palliative Care Fund at the University of Iowa Foundation or for Iowa Public Television, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
