Raymond Leroy "Beaver" Wilson, Sr., 67 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died 7:15 pm January 16, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. He was born March 22, 1944 at Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Arthur Woodrow and Alta Ruth (Snyder) Wilson. On May 5, 1979, he married Marjorie Reynolds at Oldsmar, Florida . She survives. Before retiring, he worked privately as a carpenter and was employed building mobile homes. He enjoyed fishing and when he was younger he hunted.

He is survived by his wife: Marjorie Wilson, of Fort Madison, Iowa; seven sons: Raymond Wilson, Jr., of Keokuk, Iowa; Arthur (wife Sherry) Wilson, of Keokuk, Iowa; John (wife Brenda) Wilson, of Palm Harbor, Florida; Dwight (wife Nikki) Wilson, of Farmington, Iowa; Jerry (wife Brandi) Wilson, of Missouri; Terry Wilson, of Fort Madison, Iowa; Daniel (special friend, Diana) Wilson, of Fort Madison, Iowa; two daughters: Teresa Cooper, of Keokuk, Iowa; Tina (husband Randy) Brown, of Burlington, Iowa; three brothers: Gerald (wife Karen) Wilson, of Fort Madison, Iowa; Harold E. Wilson, Sr., of Montrose, Iowa; Leon (wife Franie) Wilson, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one sister: Juanita Sawyer, of Fort Madison, Iowa; 14 granddaughters; 10 grandsons, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and Billie Mosher (husband David), who was raised as a sister by his parents. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.

Per his wishes, the body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Fort Madison Christian Church, Fort Madison, Iowa, with Pastor Mike McHugh officiating. A memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the church the day of the service.
