Obituary

Richard Arthur "Dick" Page Sr., 77 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa, died at 7:15 pm Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his home. He was born January 3, 1942 in Janesville, Wisconsin, a son of Clarence and Elenor (Anderson) Page. On September 1, 1962, he married Patricia "Patti" Shema at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Janesville, Wisconsin.

He was a dedicated loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served as an inspirational mentor to family, friends, and coworkers.  He'll be remembered as a man of few words but that was often all he needed to deliver his quick wit and timely sense of humor.

He had a successful career spanning five decades in the Ag/Chem business world. He received multiple promotions working at the Chevron/Shell plant outside of El Paso, IL and eventually achieving the position of Plant Manager.

The plant was later purchased by DuPont and Dick was inducted into their Ag Products Hall of Marketing Excellence. He worked as Manager of Human Development at DuPont headquarters in Wilmington, DC before transferring to Ontario Canada as Plant Manager.  He retired from DuPont in 2002 as the Plant Manager in Fort Madison, IA.  He insisted on treating people fairly and was quick to recognize the support of all the great people that helped him achieve professional success.

In his free time he enjoyed sports, fishing, and traveling. He was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and became an avid fan of NASCAR through DuPont's affiliation with Jeff Gordon.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.  Grand-kids will cherish memories of trips to Disney World and Christmas mornings filled with toys.

He is survived by his wife, Patti Page of Fort Madison; three sons: Richard Jr "Rick" (Cheryl) Page of Standard, Illinois; Robert Page of Michigan; and Russell (Lea) Page of Howell, Michigan; one daughter, Pamela Page of Bloomington, Illinois. Also eleven grandchildren, Richard III (Sarah) , Amanda (Robbie), Ryan, Frances, Zac, Cierra, Dallas, Reagan, David, Martin, & Victoria. His six great grandchildren, Macy, Jordan, Cooper, Kendall, Roman, & River. Nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary and one great grandchild, Gabriel Page.

Celebration of life will be on Sunday October 13th, 2019 from Noon to 4pm at: Pour Bros. Craft Taproom, 4450 N Prospect Rd Suite C-1, Peoria Heights, IL 61616, (309) 670-0340, https://www.pourbrostaproom.com .
