Robert Lynn "Bob" Wade, 61 yrs., of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 1:30 pm Monday, December 13, 2010 at his home. He was born September 27, 1949 at Sigourney, Iowa, a son of Francis and Marion (Long) Wade. On July 1, 1967, he married Rebecca Maresh at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Bob was an Operations Manager for Rockwell International in Cedar Rapids for many years, retiring at age 50. In 2001, he moved to Fort Madison where he was co-owner and operator of Spring Lake Golf Club. He loved golfing, playing softball, fishing, and playing cards. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 1287 and Fort Madison Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Wade, of Fort Madison, Iowa; three sons, whom he considered to be the greatest accomplishment of his life: Brad (wife Shelly) Wade, of Fort Madison, Iowa; Mark Wade, of Ankeny, Iowa; Matthew (wife Sheryl) Wade, of Center Point, Iowa; one brother, John (wife Nancy) Wade, of Pensacola, Florida; three sisters: Karen Allen, of Houston, Texas; Micki (husband Jim) Keukenbaker, of Franklin, Georgia;
and Meri Wade, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nine grandchildren: Brianne, Kenneth, Taylor, Thomas, Tyler, Brady, Alyssa, Alex, and Addilyn; aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The body of Mr. Wade has been cremated. A Celebration of his Life will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Spring Lake Golf Club, 2048 303rd Avenue, Fort Madison, Iowa.
A memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the golf club or at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
