Obituary

Robert Francis Faulkner, 63, of Durand, Illinois formerly of Wataga, Illinois died 6:50 am Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the Rock River Health Care, Rockford, Illinois. He was born June 22, 1956 at the Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, Illinois, a son of Garnett Tillman and Lena Marie (Cassel) Faulkner.

Bob grew up in Galesburg, graduating from Galesburg High School in 1975. He was a resident of Wataga for almost 42 years. Before owning his own lawn care business, he worked at Marigold Nursing Home and Louis Lakis Ford.

Bob was a family man, who enjoyed taking care of his family. He was there to help and support his parents, siblings, grandkids and especially his daughter. He was a lover of animals, including his two dogs. They were his faithful long-time companions named Pretty Girl and Charlie. He enjoyed old classic country music, WWF Wrestling, watching old westerns, especially Gunsmoke and building and fixing cars and things with his brothers. No matter what you would never see him without blue jeans and a hat on.

He is survived by his daughter, Audra (Jason) Hill, of Durand; three grandsons: Carson, Liam and Garrett; two brothers: Carl "Bill" (Bonnie) Faulkner and Charles Faulkner, both of Galesburg; two sisters: Evanna Faulkner and Edna Faulkner, both of Galesburg; two nephews: Michael Faulkner, of Portage, Indiana; Thomas Faulkner, of Monroe, Louisiana; two nieces: Crystal Woerly of Galesburg; Michelle Faulkner, of Portage and one cousin, Evana Cassel, of Colchester, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Terry Faulkner.

Private Family graveside services will be at Hope Cemetery, Alexis Junction, Warren County, Illinois. Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Faulkner family.
