Robert Josef Rempe, 56 yrs., of Fort Madison, Iowa died 1:41 pm Tuesday March 1, 2011 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa. He was born December 26, 1954 at Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Harry Robert and Faye Bernadine (Ahlgren) Rempe. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Madison. He graduated from Aquinas High School. He attended St. Ambrose University for a year and then transferred to the University of Iowa. He loved music, spending time with his friends and being outdoors.

Robert is survived by two sisters: Jann (husband Danny) Corsbie, of Gainsville, Florida and Lynn Rempe, of Phoenix, Arizona and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and one nephew. Mr. Rempe's body has been cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established for Holy Trinity Catholic Schools, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison is in charge of arrangements.
