Roland Robert "Ron" Cerra, 80 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa.  He was born June 26, 1943, a son of Opal Fields.  He married Ruth A Rogers in 1969 at Rock Island, Illinois.

Ron was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.  He worked as a handyman.

He is survived by three children: Barbara Cerra (Albert Harper) and Robert Roland Cerra, all of Fort Madison; and Jane (Joe) Mathews of Conroe, Texas; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brothers and sisters.  He was preceded in death by his mother, infant son Roland Robert Cerra Jr, and one grandson Michael Allen Harper Jr.

Private family burial at Keokuk National Cemetery is being planned for a later date.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Cerra family.
