Ronald S. Killoren, 66 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 1:52 pm Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa. Ronald was born July 9, 1945 at Waukegan, Illinois, a son of Harold J. and Patricia I. (Devereaux) Killoren. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Glenwood State School. He was of the Christian Faith. He liked watching the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals on television. He also enjoyed the holidays, watching movies, and participating in the Special Olympics.
He is survived by three brothers: Michael J. (wife Viki) Killoren, of Washington, Missouri; Jeffery A. (wife Deb) Killoren, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Stephen J. (wife Karen) Killoren, of Hamilton, Illinois; two sisters: Kathleen (husband Gary) Lant, of North Liberty, Iowa; Rebecca J. (husband Jeffrey) Shoemate ,of Fort Madison, Iowa; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family will greet friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Barr Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Service will follow and be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Dean Graber. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa. A memorial has been established for Special Olympics, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
