Rosemary C. Lane, a longtime resident of Fort Madison, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2012 in Redding, California. She was born July 24, 1916, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to John and Clara Prasch. On September 30, 1937 she married Gordon M. Lane and raised their five children in Fort Madison. In 1999, she moved to Redding, CA. She is predeceased by Gordon, son David and daughter Rebecca. She is survived by daughters, Carol (Jack) Humphrey, of Palo Cedro, CA and Joan (Glenn) Stuart, of Pauma, Valley, CA; son Robert (Ilene) Lane, of Naperville, IL; and daughter-in-law Kay Lane, of Muscatine, IA; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren as well as many extended family and friends. All are invited to a celebration of life remembering Rosemary at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at First Christian Church, 608 Tenth Street, Fort Madison, with Reverend John Simpson officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. In lieu of flowers, donations to First Christian Church, Fort Madison is appreciated.
