Tamara "Tammy" Sue Rudd passed away at 3:53 p.m. in Iowa City on July 10, 2025 at the age of 63.  Tammy was born in Des Moines, Iowa on November 16, 1961 to William "Bill" and Sandra "Sandy" (Lewis) Freel.  On May 21, 1983, she married Jerry Rudd of Fort Madison.

She worked for many years at The Palms Supper Club as a waitress and as a cook at The Kensington. Tammy loved to travel with her husband, especially to Florida and Colorado, and cooking more food than people could eat.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Jerry Rudd of Fort Madison; two sons, Will (Rose) Rudd of Des Moines and Josh (Enjoli) of Kansas City; mother Sandy Freel of Des Moines; her sister Carla (Ozzie) Nelson of Fort Madison; her grandchildren, Alyssa and Cassius of Kansas City and Aiden and Julian of Des Moines; and various nieces and nephews.  She is preceded by her father Bill Freel and sister Jeanie Fitzgerald.

Per her wishes, Tammy will be cremated and her ashes will be spread at a private ceremony at a later date.  The family will receive friends and family for a visitation at Barr Memorial Chapel on Saturday July 26th from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Tammy Rudd family and online condolences can be left at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
