Tiescher "Tish" Dillard, 50 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa, passed away at 4:40 am Tuesday November 30, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, at Iowa City. She was born February 1, 1960 at Russellville, Kentucky, a daughter of Cemore and Addie Bell (Burns) Dillard. On July 4th, 1989 at Fort Madison she married Stanley McCane. They later divorced. Tish was a member of the Second Baptist Church. She worked at the Sheaffer Pen Company for 17 years. She then worked at Burrows Paper Company up until the time she developed Guillian-Barre Syndrome. Tish loved Rhythm & Blues music and dancing. She was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She liked to watch cooking channels on television, enjoyed clothes fashion, decorating, and loved to draw. She was kind-hearted to help others and loved spending time with her family and her Maltese dog, Bradon.

Tish was survived by two sisters: Pat Dillard, of Fort Madison; and Jonia (Gregory) Stanbridge, of Cheektowaga, New York; two brothers: Ed (Judith) Dillard, of Fort Madison; and Eric (Tara) Dillard, of Burlington, Iowa; two half-brothers: Saunders Pike, of Davenport, Iowa; and Larry Miles, of Michigan; one aunt: Rebecca Morgan, of Jacksonville, Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Friends may visit after 1:00 PM Tuesday December 7, 2010 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison where the family will meet with friends from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Tuesday evening. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday December 8, 2010 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. The Reverend Harold Davis, Jr. will officiate. Burial and graveside committal will be at the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
