Vonda Fae Scull, 82 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa.  She was born June 5, 1943, a daughter of George and Beuleh (Banks) Whitlow.  She moved her family to the Fort Madison area approximately 58 years ago.  She worked for almost 30 years at Sheaffer Pen.  She went to cosmetology school, and loved to do nails!  She enjoyed working out in her yard and taking long walks.  She was a member of Victory Faith Church.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Trina) Scull of Fort Madison; one sister, Wanda Whitmire of Joy, Illinois; four grandchildren: Kiri, Manda, RJ, Kaleb; numerous great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren: Joe, Jake, Steph, and Chaz; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Lane Scull, one son Cody Scull, three siblings: Stacey Whitlow, Albert Whitlow, and Lorrain Martz; one great grandson Dadn, and her brother-in-law Kenny Whitmire.

Visitation will be held 9:30 - 10:30 am Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.  Her funeral service will follow and begin at 10:30 am Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Nancy St. Clair, officiating.  Burial will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the New Boston Cemetery, New Boston, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Scull family and an online guest book may be found at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
